LogRocket Is a Debugging Tool. UX Monitoring Is Different.
LogRocket correlates user sessions with error logs. That's valuable for engineering. It's not the same as knowing your checkout confusion score just spiked after a deploy.
LogRocket does something specific and does it well: it connects frontend errors to the user sessions where they occurred. You get a JavaScript console, network requests, Redux state, and a session recording, all correlated. When a bug surfaces in production, LogRocket lets you reproduce the exact conditions.
That's a debugging workflow. It's valuable, and it's different from UX monitoring.
The distinction matters because teams frequently evaluate both when what they actually have are two separate problems. One is "our users are hitting bugs we can't reproduce." The other is "our users are confused and we don't know where or why." LogRocket solves the first one. It doesn't solve the second.
What LogRocket is actually for
LogRocket is positioned between Sentry (error tracking) and session replay. It gives engineers visibility into what the user was doing when an error occurred. The correlation between console errors, network failures, and user behavior is the core value.
The team that needs LogRocket is an engineering team dealing with hard-to-reproduce bugs. Complex state, race conditions, network failures that happen to some users and not others. For that use case, it's worth the price.
The problem with using LogRocket for UX monitoring is that it requires an error to investigate. No JavaScript exception means nothing surfaces. A user who gets confused because your navigation moved after a deploy, clicks the wrong thing 6 times, and quietly leaves generates no errors in LogRocket. It generates a loop navigation event, a cluster of dead clicks, and a confusion score spike in a monitoring tool.
LogRocket won't see any of it.
The behavioral signal gap
UI degradation that creates user frustration almost never throws errors. Relocated navigation doesn't throw a 500. Confusing copy doesn't trigger an exception. A checkout button that's 4px too small on mobile devices doesn't appear in your error logs.
These problems are invisible to error-based tooling and visible to behavioral signal tooling. They're measured in rage clicks, hesitation time, form abandonment, and loop navigation. Not in stack traces.
After a deploy, LogRocket tells you whether errors increased. Flusterduck tells you whether UX got better or worse. Both are useful questions. Neither answers the other.

LogRocket's Teams plan is $99/month for 10,000 sessions per month. The Professional plan is $550/month for 50,000 sessions. Enterprise is custom.
Flusterduck Scale is $99/month for 25,000 sessions, with Slack, email, and webhook alerting, element-level diagnosis, and deploy correlation.
The price points are similar at the middle tier. The questions they answer are different. If you're choosing between them to solve the same problem, you may have misidentified the problem.
Where they don't overlap
LogRocket gives you: JavaScript errors linked to sessions, Redux/Vuex state at the moment of error, network request logs, reproduction fidelity for complex bugs.
Flusterduck gives you: real-time per-page confusion scores, proactive alerting when scores cross thresholds, deploy correlation comparing pre/post confusion, element attribution showing which specific element is driving friction, keyboard accessibility monitoring, mobile-specific frustration signals.
The overlap is minimal. Teams that run both are usually doing it intentionally, with LogRocket covering the engineering debugging workflow and Flusterduck covering the product monitoring workflow.
The monitoring gap in most stacks
Most engineering teams have Sentry or a similar error tracking tool. Most have Google Analytics. Many have LogRocket. Almost none have a tool that monitors UX quality in real time and alerts proactively.
The gap isn't error tracking and it isn't analytics. Both of those are solved. The gap is between "error rate is fine, analytics are fine" and "we just shipped a deploy that confused users in ways none of our tools can see." That's what UX monitoring fills.
